First, the money
In most schools the fee position lives in a ledger, three exercise books and the bursar's memory. Here it is one screen, and it is still right at four in the afternoon on the day a father asks.
Charged, paid, still open — for one child, for Form 5A, for the whole school. The figure the bursar can read out in the meeting, not a total that has to be unpicked first.
Take the money, print the receipt, hand it over. The number on the paper is the number in the record, and a correction is a void plus a new line — so the ledger a parent was shown in October still exists in July.
A father pays once for four. The money is applied to the four charges it actually settles, so the household is one line, not four.
Then the classroom
Primary, college and higher do not share a form. The office prints the document each arm already knows.
Reading and handwriting sit next to mathematics. Rank and a remark still print. It is the same bulletin article, with the subjects a primary class actually sits.
Anglophone papers mark out of 100. Francophone papers mark out of 20. Coefficients belong to the level. Ranking is 1, 2, 2, 4 — the convention a report card actually prints.
A higher institute records ACC210 and ECO201, each out of 20. There is no class rank and no mention. Credits live on the registration, not on this sheet.

For teachers
The register is taken on the phone they already have. A primary morning, a college class and a lecture session are not the same sheet.
Present, late, excused — a letter in a square, the way the exercise book already works. Counted in days or in hours, according to the arm.
Higher institutes take the roll on the offering — ACC210, not Form 5A. Everyone starts present. The session is the unit.
They go in once. A closed sequence cannot be quietly edited after the report card has gone home.
The office
Fees, the register, report cards, staff, parents, the public page. Then the desks a school ticks only if it runs them: the bus, clubs, inventory, kit.
Charged, collected, still open — a numbered receipt at the desk.
Class 6, Form 5, 3e, L2 — each prints its own paper.

Your country, your system
A school in Lagos does not count sequences, and a lycée in Abidjan does not print Form 5. Each country's levels, standard subjects and exam years come ready — and the screens use its words.

Higher institutes
An institute registers students on courses, marks a CA and an exam each semester, and bills tuition by programme level. It gets its own screens, in its own words.
BTS, HND, Licence, Bachelor, Master — added from sixteen worked examples, with levels named the way your country names them: Licence 1, Level 100, Year 1.
Registration windows per semester, a whole level registered on its courses in one go, capacity and an optional hold while fees are owed.
Each semester has continuous assessment and an exam. Lecturers take course registers and enter marks; the office publishes.
Fees, results, attendance and registration on the student's own phone. No account, no app.
Setting up
After the first sign-in, the school is walked through what to do, in order, and each step says what it needs first.
Tick what you teach: the standard years of your system are added. Open the year: its terms or semesters and their assessment periods are made for you.
Classes for every level in one press — Form 1A, 6ème B, JSS 2 — and your system's standard subjects at their usual coefficients.
Each teacher signs in with their own phone number and finds their own classes. Say who teaches what once.
Admit one child, or bring the class list you already keep in Excel. Write the price list, assess the term, and the first receipt prints the same day.
The importer reads messy files — merged titles, a TOTAL line, dates written three ways — and shows every problem, row by row, before anything is saved.
And the parents
The office sends each family its own link — the receipt, the absences, the report card — on Nyocte, the official communication partner, or on WhatsApp. Sending on Nyocte by itself, the moment the office records it, comes next.
The same facts still open in the browser already on the phone. Nothing to install, no account on Remora, no password to lose, and no data spent in an app store.
A parent never gets a login into your school. A link shows that family's own receipt and balance — never a class list, never another child's marks, never your fee register.
Your address
The name, the motto, the sections and levels you offer, the campus, the term dates, and whether admissions are open. It stays off until you switch it on.

It shows no child. No names, no admission numbers, no marks, no averages, no attendance, no balances, no photographs of children. That limit is written into the query the page reads from, not into the page, so a later redesign cannot lift it by accident.
How you run it
The same application. Two ways to hold it.
We run the servers, the backups and the updates. Your school gets a page at yourschool.remoraschools.com. The bursary works in the browser already on the phone.
Download it for Windows or Mac, or install it on a Linux server. Other computers and phones on the school's network open it too, and the office keeps working when the internet is down. Every desk is free for 30 days; after that the daily register stays free for good, and a licence covers the desks you use. Nothing is ever locked: records can always be opened, printed and exported.
Official communication partner
The office sends each family its own link — the receipt after a payment, the absences from the register, the report card when it is published — and Nyocte is where it goes first. Sending on Nyocte by itself, the moment the office records it, comes next. The link opens on any phone, on Nyocte or not.
