First, the money
In most schools the fee position lives in a ledger, three exercise books and the bursar's memory. Here it is one screen, and it is still right at four in the afternoon on the day a father asks.
Charged, paid, still open — for one child, for Form 5A, for the whole school. The figure the bursar can read out in the meeting, not a total that has to be unpicked first.
Take the money, print the receipt, hand it over. The number on the paper is the number in the record, and a correction is a void plus a new line — so the ledger a parent was shown in October still exists in July.
A father pays once for four. The money is applied to the four charges it actually settles, so the household is one line, not four.
Then the classroom
Primary, college and higher do not share a form. The office prints the document each arm already knows.
Reading and handwriting sit next to mathematics. Rank and a remark still print. It is the same bulletin article, with the subjects a primary class actually sits.
Anglophone papers mark out of 100. Francophone papers mark out of 20. Coefficients belong to the level. Ranking is 1, 2, 2, 4 — the convention a report card actually prints.
A higher institute records ACC210 and ECO201, each out of 20. There is no class rank and no mention. Credits live on the registration, not on this sheet.

For teachers
The register is taken on the phone they already have. A primary morning, a college class and a lecture session are not the same sheet.
Present, late, excused — a letter in a square, the way the exercise book already works. Counted in days or in hours, according to the arm.
Higher institutes take the roll on the offering — ACC210, not Form 5A. Everyone starts present. The session is the unit.
They go in once. A closed sequence cannot be quietly edited after the report card has gone home.
Both ladders
A bilingual college runs two ladders, two marking scales and one payroll. It should not need two systems, and it should not have to pretend one arm is a translation of the other.
Form 1 to Form 5, then Lower Sixth and Upper Sixth. GCE Ordinary Level and Advanced Level. Marked out of 100, absences counted in days.
6e, 5e, 4e and 3e, then 2nde, 1ère and Terminale. BEPC, Probatoire, Baccalauréat. Marked out of 20, absences counted in hours.
Each arm keeps its own subject names, its own pass mark and its own scale. "Biology" and "Sciences de la Vie et de la Terre" are one ministry concept and two school subjects, and they are stored as two.
And the parents

It shows no child. No names, no admission numbers, no marks, no averages, no attendance, no balances, no photographs of children. That limit is written into the query the page reads from, not into the page, so a later redesign cannot lift it by accident.
