- Open the downloaded file and choose “Extract all”.
- In the folder, double-click “Start Remora Schools”. If Windows asks whether to run it, choose “Run” (or “More info”, then “Run anyway”).
- Your browser opens by itself: name your school and make your login. Click “Allow” if the firewall asks, so the other computers can reach it.
Other computers and phones on the school network open the address the window shows — no installation on them.

Questions
- Who is it for?
- Schools and institutes that want their records on a computer they own — the office PC, or a small server. Prefer not to look after a computer? Remora hosts it for you.
- Can the other staff use it?
- Yes. Every computer and phone on the school network opens the address shown when it starts, with their own login. Nothing to install on them.
- What if the internet is down?
- Everything keeps working. Once a day, when the internet is there, it reports to Remora and fetches its licence.
- What about backups?
- It makes a backup every day on the computer itself (14 kept). Copy them to a USB key or another computer from time to time; a licence can add an encrypted copy kept by Remora.
- Can we move to hosted later?
- Yes. Tell Remora; the records move with the school.
